Is West Hartford Community Television available on AT&T U-verse?

Yes. As of October 28, 2010. WHC-TV's channels can be accessed via the main menu tab or via the Channel 99 menu system on AT&T U-verse.

 Will I still see West Hartford Community Television on Channel 5 with U-verse?

Community television is handled differently under U-verse. West Hartford Community Television is clustered with all the other community access stations in the state on an internet tab, labeled “99.”

So can I get to West Hartford Community Television by hitting channel 99?

To get to WHC-TV programs on U-verse requires a few additional steps.  First switch to channel 99 and then scroll through the other communities’ stations.  Then, click on West Hartford Community Television.   Wait as the page loads, then select from the menu listing one of the our three channels (public, educational and governmental) you want to watch.

How long will it take to get from a show on any other channel to WHC-TV?

It takes about 45-90 seconds on U-verse. Then it takes about 20 seconds to switch from WHC-TV back to any of the commercial channels.

Help, I'm stuck and can't get back to the commercial channels?

Remember to get out of U-verse to keep selecting the "back" button or you can find yourself in the Pay Per View movie tab by mistake.  It will takes about a minute to switch from a commercial television show to WHC-TV and back again but you will get there.

Can I DVR a WHC-TV program?

No. With the AT&T U-Verse system, DVR options only apply to commercial TV, not West Hartford Community Television’s programs. However, you can watch programs on demand from our website, whctv.org.

Why does the channel seem to stutter sometimes?
