The West Hartford Food Pantry is in serious need of help from the community. Food supplies are becoming dangerously low, and in fact, many of its shelves are now empty. Residents are turning to the pantry in record numbers, during continued difficult economic times.  Donations tend to fall off during the warmer months, at a time when families with children no longer have the option of free or reduced school lunches, and need additional help. We have reached a  critical point, and are reaching out to ask for contributions of non-perishable food items as well as monetary assistance. Food items may be left in the town hall lobby during normal business hours, and monetary gifts may be made out to “The Town That Cares”, and mailed to the Department of Human & Leisure Services, 50 South Main Street, Room 306, West Hartford, CT. 06107.  The Food Pantry would not exist were it not for the generosity of so many in this community, and we are extremely grateful for your continued support.
