| Where
can you find WHC-TV's schedule?
Monthly schedules are distributed at
Town Hall, at all three libraries and to people who become members by contributing
$35 or more to the station.
How
can you get involved? Any member of the West Hartford community can become
involved as a volunteer. Volunteers put incredible energy and skill into producing
programs for the community and most of them come to WHC-TV with no previous training.
Young and old, they get training through WHC-TV's workshops and on the job training.
We know you can get a lot out of volunteering at WHC-TV, just ask student intern
Blake Sachs, who said, "You meet so many interesting people and learn so
much about West Hartford, while gaining valuable experience in television production.
It's fun and exciting."
How
is WHC-TV funded?
Frankly, we need your support! We receive the bulk
of our funding from private donations and fund-raising events. Comcast Cable
contributes a per-subscriber amount based on the number of cable subscribers
in
West Hartford.
WHC-TV is not a town or state
agency nor is the station funded
by cable taxes. Satellite dish networks do not carry or fund your community
station!
