Programs are telecast by digital server 24 hours a day. Click here for
a list of our regularly scheduled programs. The Community Calendar presents information
about non-profit events, town meetings, and other notices sent to WHC-TV by residents

What
facilities are available?
Located on the third floor, room 326, of Town
Hall in West Hartford, the WHC-TV production facilities include:
Three
camera (3CCD) studio and control room.

Portable
camcorders, lights and microphones

Digital
Nonlinear Editing Room. (Accepts DV-Cam, MiniDV and outputs to DVD)

Graphics
Generators - including creation software like Photoshop, Fireworks and Lightwave.
What
is WHC-TV's audience?
WHC-TV telecasts solely in the town of West Hartford on Comcast Cable Channel
5.
West Hartford cable
television subscribers include more than two-thirds of the community, over 20,000
households. Members of the community tell us that WHC-TV
provides something unique by bringing news about West Hartford into the their
living rooms.
A recent program guest
said, "I was pleased by the number
of people who saw me on channel 5; not just my friends but people I ran into
in the
local supermarket."
Channel 5 on Comcast Cable
is also the access channel for Windsor, Bloomfield, Simsbury, Hartford, and
East Hartford, but each community channel has its own programming and local
